Outside the vehicle, the included safari-style roof is capable of carrying up to 150 pounds of cargo and comes with a set of roof rack side rails, which is perfect for attaching cargo boxes, bike racks, and other accessories. The rugged Badlands trim comes with many extra design features for off-roading, like two recovery hooks in the front, adjustable floodlights in the back, and skid plates.

Also offering plenty of modern technology, this edition comes with the SYNC 4 infotainment system and the FordPass Connect Wi-Fi hotspot, the latter of which can be accessed with an internet data plan. While you can make hands-free calls, adjust driver-assist settings, and access apps on the infotainment system, you can also stream audio wirelessly from smartphones with it, which sounds great on the standard six-speaker audio system or available 10-speaker premium B&O system.
