Island City Bakery While they named their shop after the baked goods, the coffee is something you can't pass up here. The inside of this cafe has all the modern and quirky touches your social media is looking for. You can have your photo taken with the wings painted on the wall. The coffee menu includes a mocha latte, chai mix, iced Carmel macchiato, frappe, and spicy mocha. The menu also includes drinks you're unlikely to see anywhere else. For example, Trojan is an espresso with Irish cream syrup, white chocolate syrup, and whipped cream on top. Alternatively, there is Bees Knees with espresso, real honey, and vanilla bean syrup. You'll find a great space to hang out while you caffeinate at 118 E Bridge St. 2. Barbed Wire Cafe This is one of the quirkier diners around where you can get your coffee cup refilled many times. The space itself has signs all over the walls and a cozy feel to it. Most people pop in for their breakfast meals. However, if you're looking for a full cup of coffee, this is a great spot to do it at 140 S Main St #1635. 3. Mezzo Coffee House Only three miles away at 100 W Allegan St in Otsego is a local cafe serving Traverse City roasted coffee. Along with the local house brew, they also serve iced coffee, cold brew, americano, latte, and cappuccino. Their signature latte flavors include Habanero Mocha, a chocolate and habanero caffeinated drink that you won't want to miss. Seasonally, they offer multiple varieties of pumpkin lattes. Iced coffee lovers will appreciate their ice cubes made from coffee, so you don't miss a gram of caffeine. This cafe also serves some food, like muffins, cupcakes, scones, brownies, and quiche. When you come in for a pumpkin latte in the fall, don't miss the pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting. The shop also features local art and a very friendly staff.
