Accommodating everyone in your party is easy when you’re driving a 2024 Ford Expedition. Depending on which trim level and seating configuration you opt for, the Expedition can seat as many as eight passengers. Standard grab handles make it easy for everyone to load up. The Expedition also offers plenty of space for cargo, comfort-focused amenities, and on certain trim levels, impressive off-roading capability.

1. A Cabin Designed for Ease

The Expedition is available in 10 different trim levels, and the standard offerings vary with each. But all come with standard tri-zone automatic climate control, power door locks, and smart-charging multimedia USB ports in the first and second rows of seating. Almost every trim level comes with 15 beverage holders. The center console offers both an armrest and a covered media bin.

Most trim levels come with front seats that can be adjusted in at least eight different ways; higher trim levels offer at least 10 different possible adjustments. A standard 12-inch touchscreen runs SYNC 4, Ford’s infotainment software, which features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2. Room for Cargo

Standard versions of the Expedition offer nearly 21 cubic feet of storage behind the rear row of seating. The Expedition Max, which is slightly longer, offers 36 cubic feet of rear storage. A cargo net and a reversible cargo mat are optional. The Expedition’s roof racks, which come standard, increase this vehicle’s ability to transport cargo.

Interior storage cubbies offer plenty of smaller spaces for stowing snacks, books, personal electronic devices, and other belongings you’re traveling with. The Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds, while the Expedition Max can tow as much as 9,000 pounds.

3. Off-Roading Capability

If you’re interested in off-roading, the Timberline trim level is an excellent choice. The Timberline offers plenty of ground clearance. This trim option also comes with Ford Trail Control, which allows you to set a slow speed and have the vehicle maintain that, handling acceleration and braking, when traversing rough ground. Trail Turn Assist allows you to make tighter turns.

4. Driver-Assistance Features

Forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, traction control, and trailer sway control come standard on the Expedition. Other driver-assistance features are available, like adaptive cruise control. Rear parking sensors and a rearview camera come standard on all versions of the Expedition. So does a remote keyless entry system. Top trim levels of the Expedition are equipped with BlueCruise, a hands-free driving feature.

From its roomy, comfortable cabin to its capable handling, there’s a lot to love about the Ford Expedition. When you’re ready to schedule a test drive, give us a call at Zeigler Ford Plainwell in Plainwell, MI.
