2023 Ford F-150

For the ultimate in options, Ford offers the 2023 F-150 in eight trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. You can also opt for a regular cab, extended cab (SuperCab), or crew cab (SuperCrew). You can choose one of three bed lengths depending on your cab. The XL features trailer sway control, 17-inch steel wheels, and pre-wired trailer connections. Higher trims offer LED bed lighting, a Class IV trailer hitch, LED headlights and taillights, a power up-and-down tailgate with Ford's tailgate step and work surface, power running boards, a two-panel moonroof, and the Trailer Tow package.

Six engines are offered in 2023 for the Ford F-150, the availability of which is dependent on the trim. The base is a 3.3-liter V-6 producing 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. A turbocharged 2.7-liter adds up to 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The well-known 5.0-liter V-8 is engine number three and cranks out 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 gets the same horsepower as the 5.0 but gets more torque, up to 500 pound-feet.

The Raptor uses the same turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 but is optimized for 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. A hybrid version of the 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 with an electric motor and battery pack generates 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is utilized on all engines for a smooth-shifting experience.

Rear-wheel drive is standard for almost all of the 2023 Ford F-150 trims, but to get your truck's full utility and capability, opt for the four-wheel drive, which is standard for the Raptor and Tremor. You can expect a maximum payload capacity of 3,325 pounds for the best-equipped F-150s and a range of maximum towing capacities from 8,200 pounds up to 14,000 pounds.

Inside the 2023 Ford F-150, you can have a no-frills, bare-bones work truck, one that rivals a luxury vehicle, or anywhere in between.
