Fan Favorite

The 2021 Ford Escape is an attractive and affordable midsize SUV for over 20 decades. Since 2000, the Escape has been a fan favorite with several trim levels for buyers of all budgets. With over 37 cubic feet of cargo space, a hybrid model, and notable safety features, there is plenty to love about the 2021 Ford Escape.

To learn about the 2021 Ford Escape specials, the sales staff at Zeigler Ford Plainwell can tell you all about them. We invite you to stop in and check out the latest Ford Escape models.

Highlights for 2021

The latest model has some upgrades from the 2020 Ford Escape. Ford included the hybrid engine as an available option in the SE and SEL trims while making it standard on the Titanium trim. Ford's Co-Pilot360™ Plus package includes new safety features like adaptive cruise control.

The long-time automaker also includes driver's seat memory settings and a hands-free liftgate in the Technology package. Ford also includes some popular options in the Convenience package, like LED headlights and taillights, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a keyless-entry keypad.

The Escape S is the standard model, which comes with a 1.5-liter Ecoboost engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The crossover comes standard with front-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive is an option. The S trim comes with comfortable seats upholstered in cloth.

High-Tech Features

On the inside, the Escape comes with several popular high-tech features. The standard 4.2-inch instrument cluster comes with Ice Blue® Instrument Panel Cluster Lighting. On the S trim, the entertainment features include an AM/FM radio with SYNC® and FordPass™Connect. While the SE upgrades include standard SiriusXM and an available navigation system with voice connect.

Driver assistance features on the base trim include Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping System, and BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert. Other standard safety features include ample airbags, tire pressure monitoring, and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control.

Drivers who choose the Titanium trim will get the added safety features included in the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ with Adaptive Cruise with Stop and Go, Evasive Steering, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition, and Voice-Activate Touch-Screen Navigation.

Choices for Trim Levels and Options

With four trim levels, drivers have plenty to choose from, especially with three of the trims offering a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The notable differences between each trim level involve technology, comfort, safety features, and exterior styling. Another notable difference between trim levels is the engine availability. The standard 1.5L Ecoboost is standard, while the 2.0L Ecoboost and 2.5L i-VCT hybrid are optional on the SE, SEL, and Titanium trims. The hybrid engine comes with the eCVT transmission instead of the standard 8-speed transmission.

The S model starts with 17-inch wheels, while the SEL and Titanium offer available 18- and 19-inch wheels. Ford adds more safety features with each upgraded trim level, as the SEL includes all of the safety features of the S and SE as well as the Reverse Sensing System. Automatic high beams are standard on all trims and so is a rear-view camera. The S comfort features include single-zone manual climate control, while the upgraded trims include dual-zone climate control systems.

Safety Features with Plenty of Benefits

Ford includes important safety features on all 2021 Ford Escape models. Remember that the driver's assist safety features do not replace good driving, but they do help make good driving easier. Safety features like the LED headlights make it easier for drivers to see what is ahead on the road, while available Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering lets drivers get the full benefit of their vehicle computers maximizing fuel economy by adjusting to speed conditions.
